The team carries out empirical research into mathematics teaching and learning processes. For this purpose, we observe everyday or specially designed learning situations, videograph them, and systematically analyse the data. A primary focus is the development of theories on mathematical learning and teaching. This results in constructive points of connection for the development and conceptualisation of learning environments for schools and universities.
Digitalisation plays an increasingly important role in both primary school and university education. In mathematics didactics with a focus on primary education, we are actively engaged in teaching and research in this area. Here you can find our current projects related to digitalisation and mathematical learning.
